Part-Time Development and Office Administrator
The Platform of Hope is seeking applicants for the position of part-time Development &
Office Administrator. This role is an important part of our team and is responsible for
ensuring day-to-day operations is smooth and supportive of the core mission. In
addition, this role point on fundraising events and facilitating timely and effective
organizational external communications.
Responsibilities:
Operations and Administration: (35% of time)
● Facilitate smooth operations & organization of office
● Organize and maintain online shared office for board, finances and fundraising
Google-suite), as well as regularly updating Google Site and with resources and
communications for board
● Support staff hiring process with screenings, interview scheduling and
correspondence with applicants
● Coordinate onboarding of staff including systems needs and setup
● Manage non-program consultants as appropriate (e.g., data management, grant
writing, fundraising etc)
● Assists with managing calendar, events, travel, and general support for Executive
Director
Fundraising (30% of time)
● Manage fundraising events, including planning and implementation, with the
assistance of volunteers, Advisory Board and fundraising contractors.
● Support Executive director in maintaining schedule and timely communications
with potential funding sources
● Manage mass donor campaigns with the assistance of volunteers, Advisory
Board, and communication contractors
● Support Platform of Hope’s development and fundraising strategy alongside the
Executive Director
● Development and maintenance of legacy document detailing Development
Operations Strategy of POH in conjunction with ED & strategic plan
Communications (25% of time)
● Manage communications with a variety of stakeholders (public, media, funders,
partners);
● Ensure timely responsiveness with stakeholders
● Manage the development of communications materials (annual reports, program
brochure, videos, invitations, etc.)
● Supporting the record-keeping and documentation of external meetings and
processes
● Support creating and updating organizational language that communicates the
story and impact of the organization;
● Utilize social media and on-the-ground communications and outreach to promote
organizational updates to community partners and board members
● Support the Executive Director with keeping the website & social media accounts
(Linked In) up-to-date and refreshed as needed.
● Provides direct and indirect support for Board of Directors and its committees,
including meeting preparation, set up, note taking, and follow-up/correspondence
Financial Management (10% of time)
● Ensure accurate reporting of all finances in partnership with fiscal sponsor
● Submitting contracts & invoices for contractors and tracking office expenses for
online licenses (Zoom, Google Suite, Notehouse, etc)
● Purchase and distribute Advisory Board stipends
Other duties as assigned
Please note that some evening and weekend work is required as part of this position.
Reporting Relationship and Schedule
The Development & Office Administrator will report to the Executive Director,
and work closely with the Program team that includes Program Managers, a Program
Administrator and Program Assistant.
Please note that some evening and weekend work is required as part of this position in
order to best accommodate families’ schedules. Platform of Hope uses a hybrid
schedule with staff working 1 day in office per week with the option to work remotely the
rest of the week unless in person work is needed.Please note that, as per the policy of
our fiscal sponsor Social Good Fund, this person must be fully vaccinated from
COVID-19.
Position Status, Salary, and Benefits
This is a part-time 25/hours/week position with a start in the range of $22-25/hour,
depending on experience. Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance;
short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance; two weeks paid vacation, in
addition to generous personal vacation, sick leave and holidays.
Candidate Qualifications
The Platform of Hope is seeking a team member with the following required
characteristics:
● Demonstrated ability to keep track of details of multiple simultaneous projects
● Demonstrated ability in a digital environment including Zoom ,Google Suite
Administration
● Previous event management experience
● Strong communications skills both written and spoken
● Share our core beliefs:

● Interest in anti-racism work
● Ability to work remotely (Laptop and software provided)
● Must be current on COVID-19 vaccinations
● Social Media experience preferred
● Previous non-profit experience preferred
● Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
● Previous bookkeeping experience a plus
● A range of one to four years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, partnership
building, sales, and/or related business experience.
● At least two years plus of nonprofit fundraising experience and/or Interest in
nonprofit fundraising in a family-oriented organization is preferred
● Familiarity with CRM databases (Hubspot/Salesforce) and email marketing
software (Constant Contact) is preferred but no experience required.
● Experience utilizing different resources for identifying individual and corporate
prospects is preferred.
